University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) will gear up its outreach activities to address the problems of the farming community at their doorstep and increase per acre yield, stated Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. While chairing a meeting at UAF on Saturday, he said that majority of our population was associated with the agriculture sector, adding that poverty and hunger alleviation was also directly linked with this sector. He said the nexus of agriculture experts, researchers, farmers and industry was a prerequisite to improve the situation at a national level. Khan directed the meeting to ensure academic activities keeping the standard operation procedures of Covid-19 in view. He directed the meeting to ensure transparency and state-of-the-art mechanism for the upcoming admission process. He said it was their responsibility to play due role in the development and progress of the country.
