Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has directed the Privatisation Commission to accelerate the privatisation/ management contracts of all entities and present an implementation plan to the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCOP) within a week to proceed further. Shaikh’s directives came during a CCOP meeting on Monday. The Privatisation Division presented a summary on the privatisation status of National Power Parks Management Company Limited (NPPMCL). Different scenarios were presented to the CCOP for changing the capital structure ie the debt-to-equity ratio of NPPMCL. After detailed discussion, the finance minister directed the Privatisation Commission to accelerate the privatisation/ management contracts of all entities and present an implementation plan to the committee within a week to proceed further. He directed the sub-committee constituted for NPPMCL to finalise its recommendations and place before the CCOP.
